Utah Jazz

Trade target: Davis Bertans (sign-and-trade)

The Utah Jazz was quite impressive in the NBA’s restart bubble even though they lost to the Denver Nuggets in the first round of the playoffs. Considering that the Nuggets made the Western Conference Finals, that should say all you need to know about how well the Jazz played in that first-round playoff series.

Adding more shooting next to Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell could help this team take it to the next level in 2020-21. There might not be a better option for the Jazz than Davis Bertans who will be on the sign-and-trade market (if he’s not able to reach an agreement with the Washington Wizards).

I’m not sure where Utah will rank amongst contenders in the Western Conference next season (and a lot of that will depend on the continued development of Donovan Mitchell), but adding shooting and frontcourt depth is never a bad option in the offseason.
