27. New York Knicks – Xavier Tillman, F, Michigan State
Xavier Tillman falls in line with what Draymond Green was during his stint at Michigan State. He’s a tough defender, that has flashed as a shooter and playmaker at the forward position. This is not to say that Tillman will be the next coming of Draymond, but there’s potential to be unlocked there.
During his junior season at Michigan State, Tillman averaged 14 points, 10 rebounds, and three assists on 55 percent shooting from the field. If Tillman can continue to make strides with his shooting, he’ll find a role in the NBA.
The Knicks could use a true stretch-4 to play next to Michell Robinson and Tillman could potentially grow into that role over the next few seasons. Coming away with Tyrese Haliburton and Xavier Tillman is a solid draft for the New York Knicks.
