8. New York Knicks – Tyrese Haliburton, G, Iowa State

All we’ve heard this offseason as it pertains to the New York Knicks is how they are planning on pursuing a point guard on the open market. They’ve recently been linked to potentially trading up for LaMelo Ball, trading for Russell Westbrook, or even being a landing spot for Chris Paul.

However, should Tyrese Haliburton fall to them at No. 8, I’m not sure the team could’ve, realistically, drawn the draft up any better. Haliburton is an interesting combo guard that would be a fit next to RJ Barrett.

Haliburton is coming off a productive sophomore season in which he averaged 15 points, seven assists, and six rebounds per game on 50 percent shooting from the field and 42 percent shooting from 3-point range. Should New York land Haliburton at No. 8, it’d be a huge win for the franchise overall.
