The last few weeks have been uncomfortable viewing for fans of the Milwaukee Bucks.

Having landed the best overall record in the NBA, hope was high for Giannis Antetokounmpo and company to storm their way to the NBA Finals and potentially competing for an NBA title which would have been there first since Lew Alcindor (now known as Kareem Abdul-Jabbar) and Oscar Robertson in 1971.

With Giannis winning both the regular season Most Valuable Player and Defensive Player of the Year in the same season, the Bucks were a safe bet to make it to the NBA Finals.

However, the Bucks were bounced out of the playoffs in a gentleman’s sweep by the NBA finalist Miami Heat in five games. A bitter disappointment for a franchise that was expected to be contenders for the title.

With Giannis Antetokounmpo contract due to be expiring in the summer of 2021, the Milwaukee Bucks organization and fan base as a whole is waiting with bated breath to see what Giannis decides to do next.

Will Giannis stay with the Milwaukee Bucks and sign a long term deal? Will Giannis enter free agency and form a superteam and compete for titles for years to come? At this moment in time, nobody knows and there is a real possibility that Anteokounmpo doesn’t know either.
