Milwaukee Bucks trade target No. 2: Chris Paul
Must. Not. Give. Best.Assets.Away!
The Milwaukee Bucks truly is between a rock and a hard place. They want to get better so Giannis Antetokounmpo will stay but they also don’t want to destroy a team that was the best regular-season team in the entire NBA last season.
While the first trade mildly disrupted the team, this second trade takes a sledgehammer to the Bucks rotation. When a player of Chris Paul’s caliber is available, you do what needs to be done and put faith in your General Manager to bring in veterans who will want to ring chase and will take a haircut to play for a ring.
That is exactly what the Bucks need to do in this situation. Push your chips into the center of the table and show the world what you got. Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Chris Paul? Now that is a hell of a big 3.
With the Brooklyn Nets potentially setting up a big three with Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden, the Bucks will need to step up or potentially lose their throne as the Kings of the Eastern Conference.
Chris Paul puts the Bucks in a better position to win than Eric Bledsoe ever will. Chris Paul is called point god for a reason. He knows how to make everyone better around him, he knows how to lead and he knows how to score and assist at a high level.
With Dennis Schroder now on the move to the Los Angeles Lakers, the Bucks have now missed out on a chance to improve their roster. Maybe they should invest in the other Oklahoma City Thunder point guard. It could be the difference between Giannis staying or leaving.
