Andre Drummond

Player option (Accepts)

First off, Drummond and the Cleveland Cavaliers are one interesting combination. Although I think Drummond is one of the most dominant and feared big men in the league, I always thought the Cavs deadline trade for the big man last February was weird.

Regardless, the two seem to be miles apart on a long-term extension, even though I think Drummond will accept his option and give it a shot.

At the very least, another 15-rebound per game season from Drummond should make him a high demand big man on next year’s market. And I really don’t agree with the idea there’s no room for him in today’s NBA.

Any league, any era, any form of basketball has plenty of room for a stellar rim protector, rebounder, and shot blocker of Drummond’s caliber, whether he can hit the 3 consistently or not.
