Fred VanVleet, unrestricted

Prediction: four-year, 72 million deal with the New York Knicks

Fred VanVleet is probably the most highly sought after unrestricted man on the market behind Anthony Davis. The market for the young shooting guard is going to be pretty big in my opinion with a bunch of suitors with low salary caps being in on the race.

In a perfect world, the Raptors would love to hold onto their undrafted star but the price they might have to pay would be too much.

The Knicks are a perfect option for VanVleet to become one of the highest-paid players on the biggest market in the game. Joining a backcourt of R.J. Barrett, Frank Ntilikina, and potentially another young rookie could be a nice fit for Fred to mold and try to build a winner on his own.

But whoever dishes out the most cash will be likely to sign VanVleet as the young scorer is looking to get paid well no matter where it is.
