Davis Bertans, unrestricted

Prediction: three-year, $48 million with the Phoenix Suns

The Washington Wizards’ sharp-shooting wing is set to hit the market and could be in pretty high demand for a decent amount of rebuilding squads as well as contenders. Davis Bertans will undoubtedly demand a decent payday.

With his elite size and scoring ability, he could get a similar annual salary as we saw Bojan Bogdanovic land last offseason in Utah.

Teams with salary cap room such as the New York Knicks and Phoenix Suns could offer Bertans a deal straight up whereas a contender like the Lakers would have to acquire him via sign-and-trade.

I think the Phoenix Suns could be a perfect destination for Davis Bertans to add some scoring off the bench for a Suns’ squad that will look to make a playoff push in 2021.
