NBA Mock Draft: Warriors take James Wiseman; Knicks snag Patrick Williams
14. Boston Celtics – Kira Lewis Jr., G, Alabama
After missing out on Jrue Holiday, and hearing that the Boston Celtics were strongly trying to move Kemba Walker to acquire the picks to land Holiday, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Celtics took a chance at possible adding a guard in the draft with one of their three first-round draft picks.
Kira Lewis Jr. could be a fit for the Celtics. As one of the most underrated guard prospects in this draft, Lewis offers an interesting opportunity for Boston. Lewis is strong, fast, quick, and can score from anywhere on the floor.
Lews averaged 19 points, five rebounds, and five assists on 46 percent shooting from the field and 37 percent shooting from 3-point range during his sophomore season at Alabama. If the Celtics really aren’t sold on Kemba heading into next season and beyond, perhaps Boston begins to address the position by trying to find his eventual replacement.
