2. Golden State Warriors – James Wiseman, C, Memphis

There’s still a decent enough of a chance that the Golden State Warriors trade the No. 2 overall pick for a veteran piece, but we’ll just conduct this final mock draft as if the Warriors are going to keep the pick and make a selection.

If they do keep the pick, the selection that makes the most sense fit and talent-wise for the Warriors is James Wiseman. The Warriors would snag a starting-caliber center and one that would fit alongside this team’s read-to-win core. Wiseman wouldn’t need to play a big role for the Warriors and would be able to blossom through a slow progression.

Wiseman has all the tools you look for in the modern big (he’s shown potential on the defensive end as a shot-blocker and shooter) and would just need to continue to develop his ability to stretch defenses.
