9. Washington Wizards –  Onyeka Okongwu, F, USC

Assuming the Charlotte Hornets don’t take Onyeka Okongwu with the third pick in the draft, there’s a good chance that he could fall to No. 9 and the Washington Wizards. And if that were to happen, Washington should waste little time in making him their selection.

Okongwu is one of the most intriguing prospects in this draft class and has drawn comparisons to Bam Adebayo. Okongwu is athletic and a 6-foot-9 forward that can play the power or center position. He’s a versatile defender and has shown the ability to be effective enough on the offensive end.

Okongwu fits an area of need for the Wizards and would be a good player to stick next to Rui Hachimura in the frontcourt. He’d also help take some of the defensive onus off the backcourt, offering an interior presence.
