Miami Heat free-agent target: Paul Millsap

One key part of the Miami Heat’s success last season was their versatility. That began to run out in the NBA Finals after the team lost both Goran Dragic and Bam Adebayo to injuries. Simply put, the Heat had no depth along the frontcourt and that’s an area that should be addressed. Paul Millsap could be a fit as a power forward that could play some small-ball five in situations.

Millsap may no longer be the all-star level talent and player that he once was, but there’s no question that he can still be a productive player off the bench and help this team of the defensive end of the floor in spurts.

Millsap is coming off a season in which he averaged 12 points and six rebounds on 48 percent shooting from the field and 44 percent shooting from 3-point range. If he can mirror those numbers for the Heat, he’d be a great addition. He may not be the body-banging big that many are calling on the Heat to target, but he’d be a valuable bench addition.
