Best moves of the NBA Draft: Precious Achiuwa to Miami

Some players just seem like perfect fits in theory for teams on draft night. Precious Achiuwa to the Miami Heat at No. 20 is one of those picks. Miami got someone that fits their culture and fills a need for them moving forward.

Achiuwa is a high motor player, who plays with the utmost intensity. Rim Running and rebounding are his calling card and he can defend 4’s and 5’s. The Heat have potentially found a player that can play minutes when Bam Adebayo needs out and a possible off the bench pair with him as well. It’s already frightening enough with Bam by himself going to the basket. Now imagine Achiuwa rolling to the basket with him and will give any defense fits.

The Miami Heat got the max value out of this pick I believe. Some moves just make sense on paper and this was one of those moves. Pat Riley and company strike again.
