Best moves of the NBA Draft: Tyrese Maxey to Philadelphia

The Philadelphia 76ers made quite the splash on draft night. They moved on from Al Horford’s gargantuan contract and Josh Richardson to add Danny Green and Seth Curry in separate deals. The 76ers also drafted one of my favorite prospects in the draft Tyrese Maxey.

Maxey is a great fit for the 76ers as a dynamic playmaker that you can play alongside Ben Simmons. The Kentucky product plays with a very high motor and speed making him a viable threat in the fast-break.

Maxey’s on-ball defense will allow the 76ers to use him to guard other opposing team’s perimeter players, something that Philadelphia struggled with last season. This is a great pick by the 76ers and will only look better and better as he develops as a pro.
