It’s time for the Portland Trail Blazers to get Damian Lillard help

As the clock hit zero in Game 5 in their Western Conference playoffs round one matchup, the Los Angeles Lakers rejoiced as the Portland Trail Blazers hung their heads in defeat. A feeling that has become all too familiar for the Portland-based team.

A season that started with untold amounts of promise ended as it always did, with not much to show for it. One person you can not blame for Portland losing is superstar point guard Damian Lillard.

On the back of Lillard, the Trail Blazers clawed their way into the playoffs and, while going against the No. 1 seed Los Angeles Lakers, there was cause for optimism in the Trail Blazer community.

Could Dame take over and vanquish the two-headed monster that is LeBron James and Anthony Davis? The answer was a firm no, as the Lakers brushed them aside in five games. So what to do now for the Portland Trail Blazers?

With little to no cap room to improve the roster, should Portland keep things how they are and hope and pray that they can get better next year and make another run in the playoffs?

With the likes of the Golden State Warriors expected to be back to full strength next year and teams like Memphis, New Orleans, and Phoenix expected to be stronger next year also, it might even be a struggle for the Trail Blazers to make it back into the playoffs.

With only so many years of his prime left, Dame either needs to leave or demand that Portland makes move to improve the roster around him.

With that said, here are three stars that would fit seamlessly next o Damian Lillard.
