Miami Heat
- C Bam Adebayo
- PF Giannis Antetokounmpo
- SF Duncan Robinson
- SG Jimmy Butler
- PG Tyler Herro
Once again, another team that would potentially dominate for the next decade.
Giannis (26), Bam (23), Herro (soon to be 21), Butler (31), and Robinson (26), a team that could grow together and competes long term for numerous rings.
The Miami Heat without Giannis were NBA finalist, what could they do with the back to back MVP and current DPOY? That is a frightening concept.
While the Heat would have the floor spacing of Herro and Robinson, they do run the risk of clogging the paint with Adebayo, Giannis, and Butler seemingly doing their best work in the mid-range and paint.
With Erik Spoelstra, one of the best head coaches in the NBA, I’m sure they could figure it out but it does cause some concern and could that concern be enough for Giannis to strike them off his list?
Probably not but worth keeping an eye on.
With the Miami Heat culture of excellence passed down by the great Pat Riley, Giannis would be stepping into an organization that not only expects excellence, they demand it.
The Heat has the best coach on this list and has a first-class organization but the personnel of Jimmy Butler, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo just does not fit and when you compare it to Luka Doncic, Kristaps Porzingis, and Giannis Antetokounmpo, the wow factor is not the same in Miami.
Don’t get me wrong, the Heat has as good of a chance as any in landing Giannis, I just don’t see a good fit with the current personnel, and with Giannis and Bam sharing the same agent, it doesn’t bode well if they play together on the same team and it doesn’t work out because of personnel fit.
