Anthony Davis has the playoff monkey off his back

Ever since Anthony Davis joined LeBron in Los Angeles, he’s looked that much more confident and was a huge reason why the Lakers were crowned champions in the NBA’s restart bubble. In fact, he’s presence inside in the NBA Finals series was something the Miami Heat didn’t have an answer for, with a banged-up Bam Adebayo.

As LeBron James continues to take a step back, as he continues to age like fine wine, Davis will be the No. 1 option for Los Angeles once again this season. Now, though, after winning a championship in the restart bubble, this is a role that he’ll be able to accept in stride.

You can’t say that AD can’t win big or in the playoffs anymore. He was a huge reason why the Lakers won the championship and will be able to play with even more freedom with that narrative off his back.

The only thing scarier than a LeBron-AD duo is a confident LeBron-AD duo in 2020-21.
