No one will run away with the Eastern Conference

Even if the Milwaukee Bucks take a half-step back from last season, in which they appeared to be world-beaters in the regular season, there’s not really a team in the Eastern Conference that is going to run away. If not the Bucks, I don’t see another team that will overwhelm the conference in the regular season.

The Boston Celtics and Miami Heat will both be good, but neither team is built to win 55-60 games during the regular season. The Celtics have their issues with Kemba Walker and the Heat will be trying to replicate their bubble success with some new faces. They’ll need time to mesh.

The Toronto Raptors could take a big of a step back after losing both Serge Ibaka and Marc Gasol and while the Brooklyn Nets are extremely talented, with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant now healthy, they’ll also need time to develop chemistry and find their footing as a team.

Even if the Bucks struggle to make their new pieces fit, there isn’t a team in the East that is going to run away with the conference. Ultimately, the Milwaukee Bucks’ talent could win-out. Giannis and Milwaukee should be trusted. This team will be better and even more motivated to win. Will this finally be the year for this team?
