Kevin Durant, Brooklyn Nets

After missing all of the 2019-20 NBA campaign with an Achilles injury, Kevin Durant is scheduled to make his return to the hardwood this December with the Brooklyn Nets.  Pre-injury it had become fairly common for NBA pundits to proclaim that Kevin Durant was the best basket player in the world (winning back to back championships and finals MVP’s against LeBron James will do that for you).

Although Kevin suffered what is arguably the worst injury in sports, optimism for a complete recovery is high, and KD’s unique skill-set is the reason. He has the height of a center and the ball handling of a point guard, with the ability to hit shots from all three areas of the court— in the paint, mid-range, and from distance – and with deadly accuracy.

His situation in Brooklyn is similar to Kawhi’s first year in LA.  The Nets already had a good collection of talent then added KD and Kyrie Irving.  If Durant is healthy, the expectation is a championship.
