Oklahoma City Thunder
Sometimes less is more and with the case of the Oklahoma City Thunder, that statement stands true. Over the past few years they have lost Kevin Durant to free agency, traded away Victor Oladipo, Russell Westbrook, Paul George, Carmelo Anthony and in this offseason, they traded Chris Paul, Dennis Schroder, and Steven Adams.
The casual NBA fan would look at these moves and say what are they doing, but the fact that general manager Sam Presti has stocked piled 17 first-round draft picks until 2026 sounds impossible. People complain about NBA players getting paid too much money, but at the end of the day it’s a business and Sam Presti is treating it like that. He will eventually have his pick on some of the best players coming into the draft over the next seasons.
He has already proven the ability to find great talent in the draft, selecting Three future hall of famers, who have all won MVP in the league. While the next two seasons might be bad for the Thunder, they will come out winning in the end because they always do.
