NBA Offseason Grades: Los Angeles Lakers, Phoenix Suns make bold moves
Cleveland Cavaliers
Whenever LeBron James leaves town it goes bad for the Cleveland Cavaliers and it wasn’t different last season. They went from losing in the NBA Finals to Golden State, to winning 19 games in the last two seasons.
There’s a bright spot, maintaining Andre Drummond, who is one of the best rebounders in NBA history was big. They were also able to get three-time NBA championship center JaVale McGee who is another rebounder and rim protector. Guard Collin Sexton showed improvement in his second season, and they got Isaac Okoro in the draft, an athletic wing that should help them on the defensive end.
Steady veteran Kevin Love is still there with the other young players, Darius Garland and Kevin Porter Jr. I don’t expect too much out of this team next season, but hopefully, they compete better.
