The Lakers and Nets sit atop our first NBA Power Rankings of the 2020-21 season

Believe it or not, the 2020-21 NBA season is officially here. The preseason will begin in less than a week and the regular season will tip-off in roughly two weeks. Despite the shortened offseason, there were still plenty of storylines to fuel the NBA intrigue.

The Los Angeles Lakers will be entering the season as champions, Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and Stephen Curry are all expected back this season, and there are several budding superstars and teams that could be on the verge of explosion.

The start to the 2020-21 NBA season may not look and feel like the traditional start to any NBA season, but there’s hope that it will begin to look more like previous seasons as we get deeper into the year.

As LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Stephen Curry, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and the rest of the league’s top stars prepare for another unprecedented season, here is our first NBA Power Rankings of the season.
