The loss of Jerami Grant will certainly hurt the Denver Nuggets and that move proved the importance of re-signing Paul Millsap. The true key to success for this team likely falls on their young players taking a leap in their progression.

That means Michael Porter Jr. becoming a better two-way player and perhaps Bol Bol breaking into the rotation during the regular season. Assuming Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic can pick up where they left off in the NBA’s restart bubble, the Nuggets will once again play a big factor in the Western Conference’s hierarchy.

Maybe this is the year that one of the Nuggets gets serious consideration for NBA MVP? They will have the record and accolades to be worthy of it.
