16. Toronto Raptors
While re-signing Fred VanVleet was a great decision, losing Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaka will certainly hurt the Toronto Raptors. It could drop them a peg or two in the Eastern Conference. Plus, Kyle Lowry isn’t getting any younger either.
The Raptors will still be a tough out in the playoffs, but I don’t think this team is much of a threat to make the NBA Finals anymore. Maybe I’m wrong.
15. Indiana Pacers
The Indiana Pacers are another team that look good on paper, especially with the assumption that we could see the best Victor Oladipo from the last two years. You still expect for the team to move Myles Turner, but if they keep him the Pacers will be considered one of the most complete teams in the East.
They might not have a top star, but they’re deep and well-coached (have been over the last few seasons).
