Five positional battles to watch as NBA training camps open

The strangest NBA offseason in history is almost behind us and teams have almost finished assembling their rosters for the start of the 2020-21 season. All that’s left is to shake the box that is each team’s roster and see which players rise to the top.

While preseason is usually a way for the NBA to parade its superstars to foreign markets like China, England, India, and so on, we’re in the midst of a global pandemic and that’s going to ruin those plans.

Some of these battles come on after offseason acquisitions, draft selections, or injuries and some might even be influenced by the size of players’ contracts or the front office. But let’s get into the big position battles to keep an eye out for as training camp gets underway.
