New York Knicks

The New York Knicks are a team that is always in the market for upgrading its roster and adding a player that would immediately add buzz and intrigue to the team would be ideal. James Harden would be exactly that, plus he’d also catapult the team into a playoff contender at the very least.

The Knicks likely have the assets to make a deal work and would still have some leftover to continue to build a team around him. RJ Barrett and a pick or two would likely be enough to make a deal work between the two teams and New York could then enter the 2021 free agency period with Harden on the roster and with a max slot open to bring a second star into town.

I’m not sure adding Harden would be ideal in the franchise’s attempt to lure Giannis Antetokounmpo, the brightest star slated to be available during the 2021 offseason, but he’s someone that many other stars would be willing to play with.
