NBA Trade Rumors: 5 non-contenders who could be a fit for James Harde

As James Harden prepares to make his preseason debut with the Houston Rockets this week, a resolution has yet to be found between the two parties. Harden has maintained that he still wants a trade away from the franchise, but is at least now on speaking terms and participating with the team.

At the very least, that’s a step in the right direction.

New York Knicks

It’s no surprise to see the New York Knicks on this list. They’re a big market and have some assets that they could offer in a potential deal. They also have some really nice pieces already in the fold with RJ Barrett and Mitchell Robinson. It’s unlikely that they will include what they have to, to get a deal done but they’d be an interesting landing spot for James Harden.

Plus, Harden would be a good fit for the franchise. He’d be their best player since Carmelo Anthony and would bring a different sense of excitement that the Knicks simply haven’t had in a very long time.
