Chicago Bulls

The Chicago Bulls are another team that theoretically makes a ton of sense for James Harden. They have some nice young assets and picks that they could offer. It would just depend on what Chicago could have left and if that would be enough to compete with other Eastern Conference contenders. I’d lean no.

Still, that doesn’t mean Chicago wouldn’t be a good fit. After all, Billy Donovan isn’t interested in a long rebuild, and acquiring a player as talented as Harden would be the opposite of a long rebuild. The Bulls haven’t had a true championship contender since Derrick Rose suffered his first significant injury after his NBA MVP season.

Adding and showcasing a player such as James Harden would be a huge step in the right direction for the Bulls. Perhaps they’re a franchise that should take the big chance on a trade, even if it only guarantees two years of relevance. After all, do you believe there are any cornerstones on the Chicago Bulls roster at the moment? I’m not so sure.
