Atlanta Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks are an interesting team to keep an eye on. This team is fresh off being one of the most active teams during the offseason and just made moves that suggest this team is ready to take a step in their progression and make a run at a playoff berth, at least.

The Hawks want to be viewed as a contender in the Eastern Conference sooner rather than later and there’s a chance that they could move some of their young, bright pieces in a bigger package for James Harden. If they could compile a package that would be of interest for the Rockets, which could potentially include John Collins, Cam Reddish, and/or Kevin Huerter and a few picks, the Hawks could get into the conversation as one of the top 4 teams in the East.

They’d have one of the better duos in the league in Trae Young and Harden and would still have a solid supporting cast with Clint Capela and Danilo Gallinari. Perhaps this would be viewed as a pipe dream or more of an NBA 2K scenario than reality, but the thought of James Harden on the Hawks gets me excited.
