The small-ball lineup: De’Aaron Fox, Tyrese Halliburton, Buddy Hield, Harrison Barnes, Marvin Bagley

This lineup is a bit of a pipe dream but just imagine the raw speed. The Kings were the third-fastest team in 2018-19 with a rating of 103.88. What’s even more impressive is that this was with Willie Cauley Stein and Kosta Koufas leading the charge… Since then, the team has gotten younger and quicker. With Marvin Bagley running the center position, I don’t think there is a team capable of keeping up.

With Hield and Halliburton both expected to shoot around 40 percent from 3, this lineup has the potential to be one of the better shooting teams in the league. Pace and scoring in transition won’t be an issue for Fox and Bagley. Harrison Barnes is the cherry on top, solidifying the lineup without hindering the run and gun style.

The concerns come in the form of defense. Is Bagley strong enough play center? Will Hields defense be hidden well enough? These are questions I’m leaning towards no on, but in terms of a pipe dream, it sure is an attractive one.
