Exploring every team’s Christmas wishlist ahead of the 2020-21 NBA season

As we approach the 2020 holiday season, and with Christmas around the corner, we can’t help but wonder what would sit atop every team’s wishlist. The 2020-21 NBA season is slated to begin December 22 and we’re going to have quite the slate on Christmas Day.

Before the start of the season, we explore what sits atop every team’s Christmas wishlist.

Christmas wishlist: A return to the NBA playoffs

The Atlanta Hawks operated this offseason as a team that was ready to make the jump in their progression as a franchise. The Haws haven’t made the playoffs since the 2016-17 NBA season and the hope is that their three-year postseason drought will end this season.

After adding Danilo Gallinari, Bogdan Bogdanovic, Rajon Rondo, and Kris Dunn in free agency, and selecting Onyeka Okongwu in the 2020 NBA Draft, the Hawks have big expectations for the 2020-21 season. With Trae Young and John Collins leading the way, a return in the playoffs could be in the cards for this season.
