Chrismas wishlist: Doc Rivers to push all the right buttons
The Philadelphia 76ers have been one of the most polarizing teams in the NBA over the last few seasons. They’ve had great talent, led by Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons, but they simply haven’t been able to put it all together when it matters most.
The hope is that Doc Rivers is the coach that will be able to bring experience and knowledge of the game to this team that will help take them to the next level. On paper, there might not be a team better equipped to challenge any contender in the Eastern Conference than the Sixers.
Though, they’re going to need their stars to take it to the next level and be the leaders and stars that many expect them to be or perceive them to be. Ben Simmons needs to take a big step into superstardom this season. Can Rivers push all the right buttons?
