15 bold predictions for the 2020-21 NBA season

Whether you agree with it or not, the NBA’s regular season is set to tip-off in less than a week. The season begins December 22, with a double-header that features the Golden State Warriors facing off against the Brooklyn Nets and the LA Clippers squaring off against the NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers.

It is followed up by an impressive Christmas slate that will almost certainly get any NBA fan excited for the new season. As the NBA’s regular-season quickly approaches, here are 15 bold predictions for the 2020-21 season.

NBA prediction: The Brooklyn Nets will be the best team in the NBA during the regular season

If the NBA’s preseason is any indication of what will take place during the NBA’s regular season, there’s a good chance that the Brooklyn Nets will emerge as the best team in the NBA. Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant have looked phenomenal during the preseason and there’s a good chance that it carries over into the start of the season.

Both coming off injuries, it doesn’t appear that they are going to have much rust to have to play through to start the year. If that remains true over the next few weeks, as the NBA’s regular season gets underway, I predict that the Brooklyn Nets will have the best record in the NBA heading into the playoffs.

Whether that catapults them to a championship this season remains to be seen, but the Nets will be a force, at the very least, during the regular season.
