It was only months ago that the Los Angeles Lakers held up the Larry O’Brien trophy after beating the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals. Since then, we’ve had to skip out on the Summer League and rocket through the 2020 NBA Draft, the offseason, and now the preseason.

Players are being waived and training camp rosters are being honed with the NBA season quite literally a few days away.

But the preseason means more than just training camp rosters, it also gives us writers an opportunity to overreact to somewhat meaningless play and try to glean something real from them.
