A true test for Brooklyn

The Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics may have squared off a few days ago in the NBA’s preseason, but this will be the first true test for Brooklyn. While beating the Golden State Warriors was impressive in their season debut, it’d be even much more so should they knock off the team that fell one game short of the NBA Finals a year ago.

Kevin Durant has impressed in the preseason and during his season debut for the Nets and Kyrie Irving has been as good as you’d expect. The Nets are also one of the deepest teams in the Eastern Conference and their onslaught doesn’t let up.

On paper, at least for me, the game between the Celtics and Nets represents the marquee matchup for the day. It has big, budding superstars, and two of the best-run franchises in the NBA today.
