NBA Trade Rumors: 5 teams that should pursue J.J. Redick
The New Orleans Pelicans, at least through the first month of the 2020-21 NBA season, have been one of the most disappointing teams in the league. Entering the year with high expectations, the Pelicans are currently 5-10 and are the second-worst team in the Western Conference, record-wise.
According to a recent report, the Pelicans are expected to entertain the idea of trading Lonzo Ball and/or J.J. Redick ahead of this year’s NBA Trade Deadline. Both players can be free agents at the end of this season, though it appears the Pelicans could be interested in moving on before the offseason.
Ball and Redick are two players who have underwhelmed for the Pelicans so far this season. While Ball is averaging 12 points per game (the same amount as last season) this season, he’s seen a downtick in his efficiency and assists per contest.
Redick is averaging eight points on just 33 percent shooting from the field and 30 percent shooting from 3-point range in 20 minutes per contest.
We explore five teams that should be pursuing a trade for J.J. Redick if indeed the New Orleans Pelicans are interested in trading him.
