The Philadelphia 76ers have gotten off to a great start this season, in large part due to the impact that Joel Embiid is making on both ends of the floor. He’s no question an NBA MVP candidate at this point in the season, but there’s no question that the Sixers should upgrade their roster if they can heading into the NBA Trade Deadline in a couple of months.

One potential target that is also reportedly on the trade block is J.J. Redick. Even though Redick is not the player he once was in the league, he still a viable piece for any contending team. While he might be a minus defender on one end, he still a good shooter (historically) and has the ability to stretch the defense.

Redick would give the Sixers added death in the backcourt and some experience that they will undoubtedly be needed during the postseason. Philadelphia may have underperformed in the playoffs over the last two seasons, but there is no question that this team is set up for big success this year. And they’re going to need all the horses that they can get.
