Los Angeles Lakers
The defending NBA champions are likely going to be in the pursuit of any veteran that hits the open trade market, and J.J. Redick wouldn’t be an exception. Even though the Los Angeles Lakers are the best team in basketball and will be considered the overwhelming favorite to win the championship again once the playoff start, they could still use a rotation player like Redick to bolster their roster.
Even though it would be hard to see where the Lakers would play Redick or even if he would break the rotation with their solid core-four of guards (Dennis Schroder, Alex Caruso, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Wesley Matthews), but if there’s anything we’ve learned from this season thus far it’s that depth will be crucial in deciding the champion.
The Lakers may not need Redick per se, but they’d be foolish not to at least explore the potential of making a deal for him.
