NBA Trade Rumors: Teams that should target Lonzo Ball
With numerous key dates coming up regarding trading players, the New Orleans Pelicans look set to be one of the most interesting teams as we head deeper into the trade period.
The Pelicans are sitting in a weird spot, as they seemed to be attempting a playoff berth after acquiring Steven Adams and Eric Bledsoe. Instead, the team sees itself near the bottom of the pack in the West.
With Shams Charania of The Athletic now reporting that the Pelicans are open to discussing trades involving Lonzo Ball and J.J. Redick, it seems that the Pelicans are heading towards a rebuild.
As for Ball, it means that he could potentially be shipped off to his third team already in his young career. Ball was drafted No. 2 overall in 2017 by the Los Angeles Lakers, before being traded to the Pelicans in a blockbuster trade that saw the Lakers receive Anthony Davis.
While Ball may have had a rough start to his career, he shows a lot of promise and provides good output for whatever team he is on. However, the question stands as to what team would be his best fit and which teams should target the young guard.
We explore five teams that would most benefit from having Lonzo Ball on their roster and teams in which Ball can shine on.
