NBA Trade Rumors: 5 teams that should target Lonzo Ball

Golden State Warriors
This move will come down to whether the teams can come out on an agreement on Kelly Oubre Jr., with the young guard struggling this season for the Golden State Warriors and the team expected to move his contract.
According to Jason Dumas, his sources have told him that it was “likely” that the Pelicans had reached out to the Warriors in their rumored discussions.
It seems like a strange trade for the Pelicans to make, given Oubre Jr.’s fit alongside players like Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson being questionable, however, the Warriors’ move for Ball is the intriguing prospect of a potential deal.
Playing Ball in the point guard position with Steph Curry in the shooting guard and potentially Klay Thompson in the small forward position when he returns could create problems for opposing teams. Ball’s playmaking abilities would allow Curry and Klay a lot more time to find their spots off the ball and instantly light up opposing defenses.
Ball also adds defense to the squad and can make up for Curry’s shortcomings on the defensive end when matched up against the other star point guards. This move makes sense for the Warriors on so many levels, and it would create an interesting dynamic if Golden State can pull the trigger.
