Young stars that deserve all-star love from NBA fans

As All-Star voting is underway, there are many young stars who have continued to develop and emerge as top players. While some of them do not have great team success, their individual numbers are through the roof and it is getting deserved recognition.

Let’s look into three young stars who deserve a roster spot on the All-Star Team

1. Devin Booker: Even though Devin Booker was named to the all-star team last season, it was only due to Damian Lillard’s injury that he made the cut. It’s time that he gets voted in, earning a true all-star spot in the Western Conference. With the Phoenix Suns playing at such a high level, I believe this is the year that he finally gets in via voting.

Booker is averaging 23 points per game and is the x-factor behind the Suns’ hot start to begin this season. Booker is going to be an all-star for the second time in his career, or at least he deserves to be.

2. Collin Sexton: Collin Sexton is finally unleashing as a true all-star for Cleveland. His competitive mindset allows him to improve on different parts of his hand. He also has the Cavs playing like a playoff team in the Eastern Conference.

Sexton is averaging 24.8 points per game and continues to improve his shooting. It may be a slim chance of getting in due to being so young, and not being a household name amongst fans. But, Collin Sexton is showing the world that he is capable of playing at an all-star level.

3. Christian Wood: After the James Harden trade, Christian Wood is now the franchise cornerstone for Houston. He continues to improve game-in and game-out and shows that he is reliable at all times.

Wood is averaging 23.5 points and 10.8 rebounds per game. He shows to be very skilled when putting the ball on the floor and produces at a high level every night. The development of Wood should allow him a roster spot on the All-Star team.

The NBA is in a very good place as far as the next generation. A lot of these players seek new ways to get better. Year-in and year-out, their hard work shows on the court. It’s a mindset to become the best basketball player of their ability and they are stepping up.
