3 players the New York Knicks should think about trading

Through the first month of the 2020-21 NBA season, the New York Knicks emerged as one of the biggest surprises in the Eastern Conference. Before a three-game losing streak, the Knicks were 8-8 through the first 16 games of the season.

Now, at 8-11 and ranked 9th in the conference, the Knicks have to take a hard look at their roster and decide in the next month and a half if this team is good enough to make a true playoff push or if this team should try and sell some of their veteran assets at the NBA Trade Deadline.

The Knicks are in an interesting position. You can both make the case that the Knicks are ahead of schedule and that they’re behind it. First, you can argue that they’re not supposed to be 8-11, and this close to being a .500 team. Albeit, it’s a small sample size but there are encouraging signs to be had so far this season.

On the other hand, you can argue that this team still doesn’t have a sure cornerstone of the franchise, as the jury is still out on RJ Barrett.

Heading into trade season, we explore three players that the New York Knicks should entertain trading.
