New Orleans Pelicans

Heading into this season, the New Orleans Pelicans had high expectations. Or, at the very least, their fans did. This is a team that is supremely talented with young players. Led by Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson, this team has the talent to compete with any other young rising team in the league.

For one reason or another, the Pelicans have gotten off to a bad start. They’re out of the top 8 in the Western Conference and have struggled with identity. It’s gotten so bad that there are whispers that Lonzo Ball, J.J. Redick, and Eric Bledsoe are on the trade block.

If the Pelicans move all three players, I’m not sure how the Pelicans make a true and genuine push for the playoffs. Perhaps this is just a feeling-out first year under head coach Stan Van Gundy after all.
