NBA Trade Rumors: 76ers, Nets, C’s interested in J.J. Redick
NBA Trade Rumors: Three teams are interested J.J. Redick
As we inch closer to the NBA Trade Deadline, there are several veterans that will likely find their way on new teams. One name that will likely find his name in the rumor mill is J.J. Redick, who is reportedly being shopped by the New Orleans Pelicans.
He hasn’t played a big role for the team thus far this season and would likely hold more value on a contender.
According to The Athletic (subscription required), the Philadelphia, Brooklyn Nets, and Boston Celtics are the primary teams interested in J.J. Redick heading into the NBA Trade Deadline.

It’s not exactly surprising to see three teams such as the Sixers, Nets, and Celtics interested in Redick. Even though he’s not in the prime of his career anymore, Redick could still provide a valuable role for a contender looking for depth in the backcourt.
Redick has playoff experience and is a playable rotation player still. He’d also be a relatively cheap option on the trade block considering that he’s an expiring contract.
Especially for a team like the Nets that traded away most of their depth for James Harden earlier in the year, Redick would provide special value. The Sixers could use additional shooter and veteran depth in the backcourt.
The Celtics are another team that will be looking for help on any fronts, considering this team was so close to breaking through in the Eastern Conference last season.
Assuming that this report is indeed true, it appears that the Pelicans are looking to find a deal sooner rather than later. It would make sense, considering they could be one of the few teams that are dealing multiple players on their roster leading up to the NBA Trade Deadline.
