Three interesting trade targets that could help the Miami Heat’s frontcourt issues
At the quarter mark of the 2020-21 NBA season, the Miami Heat, at 7-13, has been one of the most disappointing teams in the league this season. After making a surprise run to the NBA Finals during the 2019-20 season restart, there’s a very real chance that the Heat will miss the playoffs entirely this season.
There are issues across the board for the Heat. For one, the fact that Jimmy Butler has only played in eight games this season isn’t ideal. Goran Dragic and Bam Adebayo have also missed time this season.
On the floor, Miami simply doesn’t have intensity on the defensive side of the ball. Through the first 20 games, the Heat has the 20th ranked defense and is the worst rebounding team in the league. To add to their frontcourt issues, it was reported that Meyers Leonard will miss the remainder of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery.
With the NBA Trade Deadline quickly approaching, it would be wise for the Heat to try and add some depth with an eye on helping to solve their rebounding issues. Let’s explore three interesting names that Miami could target in the trade market.
