NBA surprising stat, No. 4: Devonte’ Graham shooting a higher percentage from 3 than he is from 2

Devonte’ Graham is the only player in the NBA to shoot a better percentage from the 3-point line (36%), than his overall field goal percentage (34.8%). There are others who shoot a lower percentage from 3 than him, but nobody but Devonte’ Graham is better percentage-wise at shooting 3’s than they are at shooting 2’s. Unfortunately for Devonte’, his 3-point percentage is low also.

It’s early enough in the season to turn it around obviously, and the percentages are close enough to one another that he can flip them. He also adds value to your team by being a ball-handler who averages around six assists and just north of one turnover a game.

Still, 20 games in and having a higher 3-point percentage than 2-point percentage is still alarming and frankly, strange.
