Finding himself in the midst of NBA Trade Rumors, we explore five good fits for P.J. Tucker
Many expected the Houston Rockets were going to throw P.J. Tucker in the blockbuster deal for James Harden. When he wasn’t included, it simply opened the door for the Rockets to get another asset in a potential Tucker trade ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline.
That’s the expectation, even though the Rockets are in the running for one of the final playoff spots in the Western Conference. According to a report, the Rockets are expected to move Tucker ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline and that they want a first-round pick in exchange.
Even though it may not feel as if Tucker is having as big of an influence on the Rockets this season, his efficiency numbers are just as good as they’ve been over the last few years, when Houston was making deep playoff runs.
On the year, Tucker might only be averaging five points and five rebounds, but he shooting 46 percent from the field and 40 percent from 3-point range. He’s also an excellent and versatile defender that would bring toughness and experience to any team he’s traded to.
Ahead of the 2021 NBA Trade Deadline, we explore five teams that would make a lot of sense for P.J. Tucker.
