Brooklyn Nets
After gutting their roster for James Harden (and then losing Spencer Dinwiddie to injury), the Brooklyn Nets will be trying to use the NBA Trade Deadline and buyout market in an attempt to rebuild its rotation. They’ll be in the running for any player that could provide meaningful minutes in the playoffs.
That means P.J. Tucker will absolutely be in play for Brooklyn. However, you’d have to wonder what exactly the Nets have remaining that they could offer Houston. Then again, you’d have to wonder why Tucker wasn’t simply involved in the James Harden trade in the first place.
That small tidbit makes me believe that perhaps the Nets won’t be all that interested in Tucker. It may not even matter if there is a bidding war. After the Harden trade, there’s no way the Nets will be able to put together a competitive offer in an all-out bidding war at the deadline.
