New York Knicks’ encouraging sign No. 3: The team’s response to Tom Thibodeau

Entering the year, not much was expected from the New York Knicks. In fact, you can make the case that many expected this team to finish with one of the five-worst records in the NBA this season. At least thus far, that doesn’t appear to be the case.

Even if the Knicks don’t make the playoffs this season, it’s unlikely that New York will be a bottom 5 team in the league. But what the franchise has to be pleased with is the way the team has responded to new head coach Tom Thibodeau.

Despite his limited success in the NBA, Thibs has his critics. And many were quick to show up when it was announced that New York was hiring him. While you could make the case that Thibs is better off with a more seasoned roster, that hasn’t been an issue for New York this season.
