NBA Trade Rumors: 3 teams that should make a move for John Collins

The LA Clippers are in need of a player with the skill-set of John Collins. Collins can play power forward and center, and switch to a guard on defense, which is the only thing the Clippers are missing from their current roster. Sure, they can get some good minutes from Serge Ibaka and Patrick Patterson, but both of those guys are at a different phase of their careers.

If they could put together some sort of trade package to acquire Collins, I would think that the fit would be phenomenal. Collins can shoot the 3 and is great in the pick-and-roll, but I like the fit more for his defensive capabilities. The ability to switch from a guard like Patrick Beverly or Kawhi Leonard and then having John Collins switch out to the ball-handler.

Collins gives you everything Ibaka does but at a higher level. Collins is up for free agency at the end of the season, I think the Clippers can package a draft pick and a decent player and acquire him for their playoff push this season.
